James Oliver Cury has been paid to eat tarantulas, chitchat with Britney Spears, write a book about bachelor parties, sample the latest self-tanning products, and share his thoughts on national television programs including "Iron Chef" and ABC News.

He has written hundreds of articles, produced dozens of videos, and managed programming and strategy for many national, award-winning sites like Epicurious.com, Housebeautiful.com, Goodhousekeeping.com, Maxim.com, and Playboy.com. He is currently in charge of digital editorial projects at Details.com.

Cury collects vintage records and spends an inordinate amount of time renovating his house. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and dog.
